Aimee brings a diverse variety of experience to Reform 2 Perform, and is also a specialist physiotherapist to the British Army. She is currently working towards her Masters in Advanced Physiotherapy at Manchester Metropolitan University, training with specialists in the musculoskeletal field. Aimee is also an associate member of the MACP (Musculoskeletal Association of Chartered physiotherapists).
Graduating from the University of Sunderland in 2007 with a BSc Hons Degree in Sports Science Aimee also has a Diploma in Sports Massage. After gaining an interest in sports injuries she went on to complete a Masters degree in Physiotherapy at Teesside University in 2010.
Aimee took her first physiotherapy role working for the NHS covering musculoskeletal outpatients, orthopaedics and medical care rehabilitation before moving on to work in private practice. For a further two years Aimee worked with a variety of clients in occupational health, private practice and sports, working with clients such as Northumbria men’s football team and East Durham Boxing club. She then went on to take a specialist physiotherapy role in the Military working with sporting tactical athletes in the Army, RAF and Navy, ranging from marathon runners, rugby players ,boxers and footballers, gaining vast experience in this role over 5 years . Aimee continues working with professional local boxers in the North East.
Aimee continues to develop her skills in rehabilitation and continues her professional development in acupuncture, specialist knee rehabilitation, spinal injuries, running analysis and Pilates based rehabilitation, Aimee is trained in the Pilates reformer and takes core stability and movement principles into her rehabilitation planning and treatment goals, aiming to get clients back to functional activity and to prevent future injury.
Aimee loves to keep fit and active and enjoys running, Pilates, boxing and weight training, she has two children whom she loves spending time with which keeps her busy outside of work.
